Our Mission · Est. 2007

Coffee inspired by this valley.

We love this valley. We chase first tram in the winter, hit trailheads at dawn all summer, and float the Snake every chance we get, and all of that energy comes home to the roastery with us. It goes into every small batch we pour, with the simple hope that every cup tastes like Jackson Hole.

From Roots to Roasts

Since 2007.

2007 Ruth Ann Petroff and Mark Barron founded Snake River Roasting Co. to make coffee worthy of the place that inspired it. Word traveled, and over the years SCA-certified roasters, brewers, and baristas found their way to the roastery, most of them coming for the mountains and staying for the craft.
2021 In 2021 Mekki Jaidi of Outpost Group took the helm, bringing new energy while keeping the same compass. The standards Ruth Ann and Mark set still guide everything here, from how we buy our beans to how we treat the people around us, and today that adds up to roughly 150,000 pounds of coffee a year.
6,237 Feet Only the top few percent of coffee grown anywhere earns the specialty grade, and that is all we roast. Every order is roasted at 6,237 feet, where water boils at 201°F and thin air rewrites the roast curve, then shipped out the next business day. And if anything ever arrives less than perfect, a real person here will make it right.

What We Stand For

Values with receipts.

Community first One percent of cafe sales goes to the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust, and our seasonal blends raise money for local nonprofits year round.
Sourced with care We buy through partners we trust, from the women farmers of Cafe Femenino to Onyx Coffee Importers, so the people who grow our coffee share in its success.
A flavor for everyone French roasts to bright light blends, half-caff to full decaf. Nobody gets left out of the morning pot.
Craft in every cup An SCA-certified crew, small batches on precision roasters, and a medal shelf that keeps us honest.
