Snake River Roasting Co.
Here at Snake River Roasting Co., we believe that we reflect the spirit and culture of Wyoming in each of our coffees. This year however we went international and brought Wyoming to Australia!

We recently competed in the Australian International Coffee Awards. This competition receives entries from countries around the world including New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore, Canada, the USA, and the UK. The Australian International Coffee Awards (AICA) celebrates excellence and recognizes the best roasters from Australia and around the world across eight major categories. This year we submitted our newest certified organic espresso roast, Wild Iris and certified organic light roast Dominican Republic.
You may recall that we introduced you to Wild Iris in the early winter of 2018. This blend is as wild as Wyoming and as hearty as a mountain flower blooming in the spring desert. Carefully curated from highly prized crops, this espresso roast with tasting notes of Baker's Chocolate and Blackberry Syrup is a shout out to our Lander neighbors! Our Wild Iris proudly earned us both a Silver medal for cappuccino milk blend coffee and a Bronze medal for cappuccino soy blend coffee.

We have been a little hush hush about our newest certified organic light roast, Dominican Republic red honey process. We have been working in collaboration with our friends at the Ramirez Estate to create this mildly sweet red honey process. With notes of subdued vanilla, pops of cherry and a nutty aftertaste, this coffee is smooth and an excellent example of well-processed coffee. This award-winning coffee won bronze medals in both single origin pour over and single origin immersion! Want to elevate your coffee experience? This coffee is currently only available through our website. Place your order today!

So aside from winning medals, why do we enter these competitions? They are an incredible learning experience for us providing feedback about our coffee as well as trends, standards, and advanced knowledge in the coffee world. When we bring home those medals, it is merely a bonus!
