If you follow us on Instagram (and you really should!) you have probably noticed that we are all big travelers here at Snake River Roasting Co.  It seems that at least one of our staff members is on the road or up in the air at any given time. Last week we shared photos of one of our roasters enjoying her time in Paris, France and Trier, Germany. This week one of us has hit the open road seeking sunshine and warm weather in the Southwest. But the real magic happened two weeks ago when our Director of Service spent some time in the U.S. coffee mecca that is Seattle! 

And no coffee lover would ever feel complete visiting the Emerald City without a visit to La Marzocco cafe!

La Marzocco has been the leader in designing and building espresso machines since... espresso machines. They are close to a hundred years old and always elevating the espresso experience. While in Seattle we were able to take a small peak at their newest model, the KB90. As always La Marzocco machines have a beautiful Italian aesthetic, and this new model has made internal improvements as well. The KB90 has auto purging groups, double wall stainless steel steam wands, front-loading portafilters, and much more. Surely we are not the only ones who geek out over espresso machines. Nothing brings us more joy than taking a closer look at the future of coffee equipment!

Aside from ogling the machines on display in the cafe, chatting up the baristas with questions about the KB90 and inspecting all the featured roasters this month, we also sat for a delicious cappuccino with a perfect view of the Space Needle. And what is the perfect cup of coffee without the music to go with it? While sipping a cappuccino in the La Marzocco cafe, you are treated to the iconic sounds of the KEXP radio station which is adjacent to the cafe. 

 Although the Wyoming mountains called us back home we know we will be back in Seattle for a visit to the cafe sometime soon!
